“I praise you, Father, Lord of Heaven and Earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” LUKE 10:21

As moms, we all cherish those first memories of when our children see themselves in the mirror. That unforgettable look of amazement that spreads across their small face when the connection is made: “That is me!” They touch their chin and their nose and smile.

So exactly when is it that as teenagers or adult women we become “wise and learned” measuring ourselves against the cultural-beauty-gage? We become unhappy and dissatisfied with that reflection in the mirror. Let us all become like little children again and see ourselves the way God see us. He sees beauty, do you?

Challenge yourself to smile every time you look in the mirror or see your reflection. Quietly say, “I was shaped with love.” Get your children to join you! Influential things can happen when we allow ourselves to become like little children…they teach us.
